Come Join Us!
For centuries, women have been gathering at wells for nourishment and connection with others. Now you can, too! A unique, small-group program called Women at the Well is offering gatherings in Decatur, Georgia, with new sessions beginning in Winter 2012.
This creative approach blends poetry, art, music, and scripture to give women the time and space to listen for the Spirit, reconnect with their souls, and share their stories in the company of other women. Women gather together in circles for eight sessions to explore spiritual themes related to daily life in an interactive, reflective format. Groups are co-facilitated by trained leaders and all participants will receive companion journals and materials. Created by Well for the Journey, a nonprofit center located in Towson, Maryland, these life-giving small groups have given hundreds of women spiritual nourishment for daily living since 2001. |

Session Information
Day/Time: Mondays from 7:00 - 8:30 PM
Dates: January 16th through March 5th
Topic: "Choosing Love as a Response: Embracing Wholeness"
Description: Divisions in our communities, our country, and our world appear deeper than ever. Against this landscape, we must remember that God is at work in ways we can’t see. God invites us to become gentler, more compassionate, more caring. Choosing love as a response begins within our own hearts then radiates out to our loved ones, our communities, and our world. During this eight-week session we will draw on different faith traditions and explore stories that connect the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim family. As women, we bring unique gifts. We are wired to come together, enter into conversation, listen to one another, share stories, and offer one another strength and inspiration. Little by little, we hope to become transformed in divine Love and to radiate Love to the world around us.
Location: Both sessions meet in the “Parlor” Room of The First Christian Church of Decatur (Disciples of Christ) — on Ponce de Leon across from the main post office — at
601 West Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, Georgia 30030.
Cost: $120.00 for the 8 sessions (includes all materials)

“Eternally, woman spills herself away in driblets to the thirsty, seldom being allowed the time,
the quiet, the peace to let the pitcher fill up to the brim.”
